The tour begins with a comprehensive safari, ensuring superb game viewing opportunities. You visit a range of Kenya's National Parks; Mount Kenya, Lake Nakuru and the Masai Mara. After spending five days in the bush, you can enjoy a few days relaxing on Mombasa's beaches, catching a tan before heading home. |

Day 1: Welcome to Nairobi On arrival in Nairobi, meet your guide and transfer to the Nairobi Serena Hotel. Spend the afternoon exploring this dynamic city, or lounge on a deck chair beside the pool - cool drink in hand. Enjoy dinner at one of the many excellent restaurants before retiring for a good night's sleep in preparation for the rest of your journey. Meals : HB Accommodation : Nairobi Serena Hotel Day 2: Scenic Drive to Samburu Game Reserve Enjoy breakfast before departing for the Samburu Game Reserve. The scenic drive takes you through vast tea and coffee plantations and over gurgling streams as you make your way to Samburu Serena Lodge. Arrive at the lodge in time for a delicious lunch, before venturing out on your first game drive. As the sun begins to set, you will return to camp, where you can freshen up before enjoying a bush barbecue. Meals : FB Accommodation : Samburu Serena Safari Lodge Day 3: Game Drives in Samburu Game Reserve Your day begins with an early morning game drive, followed by a champagne breakfast. The rest of the morning can be spent in the shade beside the pool or reading in the library. After a delicious lunch, embark on another game drive, returning at sunset. Enjoy dinner and perhaps some Samburu tribal dancing before turning in for the night. Meals : FB Accommodation : Samburu Serena Safari Lodge Day 4: Magnificent Views at Mount Kenya Enjoy breakfast before setting off for the Mount Kenya region. Drive through the forests of the Aberdare Mountains, and arrive at the Serena Mountain Lodge in time for lunch. Spend the afternoon at leisure, viewing game from this tree-top vantage point. The lodge looks out over a waterhole that attracts a variety of wild animals. Meals : FB Accommodation : Serena Mountain Lodge Day 5: Game Spotting at Lake Nakuru Get an early start, making your way to the spectacular Nyahururu (Thomson's Falls). Travel further south to arrive at Lake Nakuru, a haven for a multitude of bird species. Enjoy viewing game as you make your way to Lake Nakuru Lodge. Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch, after which you can enjoy an afternoon game drive, spotting species such as buffalo, leopard, zebra, waterbuck, and both black and white rhino. Meals : FB Accommodation : Lake Nakuru Lodge Days 6: Masses of Game in the Masai Mara Enjoy an early morning breakfast before taking a scenic drive through the Masai Mara National Reserve. Enjoy game viewing en route to Mara Serena Lodge. Stop along the way for lunch at a lodge. Arrive at Mara Serena Lodge as the sun sets. Freshen up before enjoying dinner and a wildlife or cultural talk. Meals : FB Accommodation : Mara Serena Safari Lodge Day 7: Explore the Masai Mara Embark on early morning and afternoon game drives and see the variety of wildlife in this area, including wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle. Between game-viewing activities, enjoy a massage treatment or, for the more intrepid, substitute a morning game drive with a balloon safari. As you enjoy a delicious dinner, enjoy a tribal dancing display. Meals : FB Accommodation : Mara Serena Safari Lodge Day 8: Divine Diani Beach Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and a relaxing morning before transferring to your scheduled flight to Mombasa. On arrival in bustling Mombasa, on the tropical Kenyan coast, you are met and transferred to Leopard Beach Resort and Spa. Leopard Beach is a luxurious beach resort situated on the strikingly beautiful Diani Beach, among tropical gardens. Use the afternoon to rest and recoup in this exotic location. Laze by the pool or visit the idyllic beaches. Meals : FB Days 9-10: Relaxation at Leopard Beach A variety of sporting and leisure activities are on offer, including an 18-hole golf course, a fully equipped dive centre, and various water-based activities. Go windsurfing, kite-surfing, kayaking and fishing. Indulge yourself with health and wellness treatments at the Uzuri (meaning 'goodness' in Swahili) spa. A combination of African and European-style treatments are available. Meals : FB Day 11: Set Off Home Enjoy a tasty breakfast before transferring to Mombasa International Airport for your flight home. |
