Gibb's Farm is set in a tranquil spot in the Ngorongoro Highlands, just 5km from the village of Karatu in Tanzania. This coffee and vegetable producing guest farm boasts a 10 acre organic garden and beautiful views of the forested Highlands slopes.
The old-colonial farmhouse consists of a sitting room, reading room, dining room, bar and gift shop, while the flower and vegetable gardens extend to the coffee fields beyond. Enjoy watching a daily coffee bean roasting session which takes place on the patio.
Gibb's Farm is the perfect place from which to explore the beautiful surroundings; guided walkes to a nearby waterfall and bird-watching trips are extremely poular.
Visit the traditional home of the local Iraqw tribe, watch a local woodcarver at work, or visit Tloma Primary School and meet the local children. Gibb's Farm is a great asset to the community - practicing recycling and community development which you are welcome to get involved with.
