Selous Safari Camp |
||||||||||||||||||||
| The Selous Safari Camp, on the banks of the Rufiji River, is designed to blend in with the spectacular natural scenery in what is one of the most photogenic areas of the Selous Game Reserve. Each of the twelve safari tents is on its own raised timber platform and, as there are no fences, animals can wander freely through the camp. Staying in this prime location at the centre of a unique riverine and lake complex allows for game viewing by boat, and the opportunity to obtain close-up photographs of the many hippo wallowing in the water and large crocodiles lurking on the banks. In fact most of Africa’s mammal species, from the largest to the smallest to the rarest, thrive here. Full consideration has been given to comfort within the camp itself. The spacious tents are well appointed, with en suite bathrooms and open air hot-water showers. The swimming pools are set in shade with day beds and towels, meals are complemented by a good selection of wines and there is a well-stocked bar. |
