Whitesands

Whitesands is situated on the north of Mombasa amidst the swaying palms and fragrant frangipani trees. The public area of the resort has been influenced by Arabic architecture and has four restaurants, four bars, a discotheque, a games room, a variety of shops and a hairdressing salon. Conference facilities are available for up to 400 delegates.

The resort has 332 bedrooms, two presidential suites and six luxury suites. All rooms have an en suite bathroom and shower, private balcony, direct dial telephone, air-conditioning, mosquito net and an in room safe. There are 70 deluxe superior rooms and two presidential suites with satellite TV.

Recreational facilities include a fully equipped health club, water sports such as surfing, snorkeling, swimming pools and waterslides, four floodlit tennis courts, video shows and table tennis. Scuba diving and deep-sea fishing can be arranged at an additional cost. The animation team arranges team activities such as volleyball and water polo. Golf is available nearby. The open-air amphitheater showcases traditional dancers, variety shows, special events on request and live bands.
