Governors Camp is situated in the northern Masai Mara. If you time your arrival correctly, you may be lucky enough to witness the great migration. After the rains, when the first flush of grass turns the Mara's golden savannahs green, the great migration takes place where thousands of wildebeest make their journey to find better grazing and water. Governors Camp offers a perfect setting in which to witness this, as well as spotting other wildlife that hunt and reside in the surrounding area.
This entire safari camp is under canvas, but it has all the comforts of a five star hotel. The 38 tents are in the classic safari style and are spacious and tasteful. Some line the riverbank and offer views of wildlife that may approach the river while others have views across the sweeping plains. Each tent has its own en suite bathroom with constant hot and cold running water, flushing toilets and even bidets. Enjoy excellent cuisine by candlelight taking pleasure in a truly unforgettable experience. |
